Terms of Service
Effective: June 24, 2026 · Last updated: June 24, 2026
These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of the riwaqalilm.com website and your participation in Riwaq al-Ilm’s online Quran classes, including the free trial program. By using our website or booking a class, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use our services.
References to “you” mean the parent, guardian, or adult student using our services. References to “we”, “us”, or “our” mean Riwaq al-Ilm.
Eligibility & Parental Consent
Our services are available to individuals 18 years of age and older. If you are booking on behalf of a minor (anyone under 18), you represent that you are the parent or legal guardian of that student and that you have the authority to accept these Terms on their behalf.
Parents and guardians are responsible for their child’s participation in all sessions, including ensuring a safe environment for online video calls and monitoring their child’s engagement with our teachers.
Students under 13 must not submit any personal information directly through our website. All bookings and communications must go through a parent or guardian.
Free Trial Classes
We offer a complimentary trial class to new families at no cost and with no obligation to enroll in a paid program. The free trial includes:
- One session with a qualified teacher.
- An informal assessment of the student’s current level and goals.
- A personalized program recommendation.
Free trials are limited to one per family. We reserve the right to decline or reschedule a trial at our discretion. Scheduling is subject to teacher availability. No payment information is required to book a free trial.
Classes & Scheduling
Classes are conducted via Zoom or Google Meet at mutually agreed times. You are responsible for having a reliable internet connection and a device capable of supporting video calls.
We will make reasonable efforts to accommodate your preferred schedule and time zone. We aim to provide consistency in teacher assignment but cannot guarantee that the same teacher will be available indefinitely due to unforeseen circumstances.
If you need to reschedule or cancel a session, please provide at least 24 hours’ notice. Specific cancellation and rescheduling policies for paid enrollments will be communicated separately at the time of enrollment.
Payments & Enrollment
At this time, Riwaq al-Ilm only offers free trial classes. No payment is required or collected through this website.
If you choose to enroll in a paid program after your trial, full pricing, billing terms, payment schedule, and cancellation and refund policies will be provided to you in writing before any payment is collected. Enrollment in a paid program constitutes a separate agreement.
Code of Conduct
We are committed to providing a safe, respectful, and professional learning environment for all students, families, and teachers. By using our services, you agree that you and your student will:
- Treat teachers and staff with courtesy and respect.
- Attend sessions on time and prepared to learn.
- Not record, share, or distribute class sessions without prior written consent.
- Not engage in abusive, discriminatory, or inappropriate behavior during sessions.
- Ensure the learning environment is free from distractions and appropriate for an online class.
We reserve the right to suspend or permanently end a student’s participation without refund if conduct violates these standards or is inconsistent with our values.
Recording of Sessions
Sessions are not recorded by Riwaq al-Ilm unless both parties provide explicit written consent in advance. You may not record any session without our prior written permission and the consent of the teacher. Unauthorized recording is a violation of these Terms and may violate applicable law.

You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works from our content without prior written permission.

We do not warrant that our website will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of viruses or other harmful components. We make no guarantee regarding specific learning outcomes, as progress depends on individual effort, consistency, and many other factors.
Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Riwaq al-Ilm and its teachers, employees, and agents shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of our services, including but not limited to loss of data, loss of revenue, or personal injury.
Our total liability to you for any claim arising out of or relating to these Terms or our services shall not exceed the total amount paid by you to us in the three months preceding the claim. For free trial users, our total liability shall not exceed $50.
Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Riwaq al-Ilm and its teachers, employees, and agents from any claims, losses, or damages (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your violation of these Terms or your misuse of our services.
Governing Law & Disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of the United States. Any dispute arising from these Terms or your use of our services that cannot be resolved informally shall first be submitted to good-faith mediation before either party initiates formal legal proceedings.
