What you will learn
The Arabic follows a structured, six-module curriculum — each module builds directly on the last.
Quranic Vocabulary — High-Frequency Roots
The 500 most frequently used roots in the Quran cover the majority of Quranic vocabulary. Students begin here — learning roots, not just words — to unlock understanding across thousands of Quranic instances.
Foundational Arabic Grammar (Nahw)
Noun types, verb types, sentence structure, and the case system (I'rab) — the grammatical framework that governs every Arabic sentence and makes Quranic Arabic comprehensible.
Arabic Morphology (Sarf)
How Arabic words are built from three-letter roots — patterns, forms, and derivations. Understanding Sarf allows students to recognize and decode unfamiliar words using known roots.
Quran Reading Comprehension
Applying vocabulary and grammar to actual Quranic text — reading and analyzing Surahs with the teacher, identifying grammatical functions, and understanding meaning without translation assistance.
Classical Text Introduction
Moving from the Quran to simplified classical Islamic texts — Hadith collections, short Fiqh manuals, and foundational Islamic works — building reading comprehension beyond Quranic vocabulary.
Advanced Comprehension & Independent Reading
The graduation milestone: reading a classical Arabic text independently, with a dictionary, without teacher-by-sentence guidance. The tools to continue learning Arabic for life.

Questions about the Arabic program
Do I need to be able to read Arabic script to join?
Basic Arabic reading ability is helpful. If you cannot yet read Arabic, we recommend completing the Nazera or Adult Quran program first — then this course will be far more effective.
Is this Quranic Arabic or Modern Standard Arabic?
The core focus is Quranic Arabic — the vocabulary and grammar of the Quran and classical Islamic texts. Some students also choose to extend into Modern Standard Arabic (Fusha), which we can incorporate.
How long until I can understand Quran without translation?
Students with consistent practice typically develop meaningful comprehension within 12–18 months. The first milestone — understanding the most repeated Quranic vocabulary — comes much sooner.
Is this suitable for children or only adults?
Both. We have age-appropriate tracks — children's Quranic vocabulary and older students' grammar. We assess and place every student at the appropriate level.
Will I be able to read classical Islamic books after this?
That's one of the key long-term goals. Students who complete the full Arabic program gain enough grammatical and vocabulary foundation to begin reading simplified classical texts with guidance.
